24 September House PicturesAs promised, I took some pictures of our house this weekend. Now that it's finished, we're ready for visitors! We would love to have friends and family come see us! Give us a call! 17 September Homecoming/KidsFestWe had a fun weekend! Friday night was the homecoming game at Jeff's school. We went to a fun tailgate party for the teachers and families and stayed til the end of the halftime show. We had a fun time and really enjoyed the obvious love and pride the community has for their school, as well as the fanfare and excitement of the crowd, cheerleaders, and marching band. Ella liked all the balloons, the cheering, and the band, but she was a little leary of the mascot. Unfortunately, I forgot to bring my camera. The highlight was that Lucy and I were on the 10:00 news sitting in the stands during the game. The camera was close-up on just the 2 of us, saying that "This little girl doesn't seem to mind" that the team was losing horribly. We just happened to see it by chance. What a fun surprise!
Then on Saturday we went to the KidsFest, sponspored by the local PBS station. It was a really fun day and the weather was absolutely perfect. I think the pictures give you a pretty good idea of what the day was like. Some other activities not pictured were an inflatable, a dance studio performance, a gymnastics performance, Clifford, Maya and Miguel, SuperWhy, and a picnic lunch.
Our house is pretty much in order now, so I'm hoping to take some pictures to post soon. Keep checking in! 14 September Lucy Stands - Ella Gets a Patch! Two weeks ago, Lucy finally began standing on her own! (still holding on to something) It may not seem like much for most 10-month-olds, but this is a big accomplishment for Lucy. Since then, her legs have continued to get stronger and she's wanting to stand more and more. We've also noticed her becoming more verbal and putting some meaning into what she babbles.
A new Awana club was just introduced for babies-2 years, making Lucy now a "Puggle." (fyi...A "puggle" is a baby platypus.) They have little songs, make simple crafts, and have learning cards which they use for lessons. Ella continues to learn and have fun being a Cubbie. She received her first patch this week, the "Jumper Patch." She was so proud of it. Awana is really a great thing for her and we have been excited to see her enthusiasm for learning Bible verses.
The last picture is of Ella at a ittle cafe we went to. It is the neatest place, all based on the artwork of Dakri Sinclair. It has a gift shop and a tea room where they throw tea parties and birthday parties for little girls. Just so sweet. I highly recommend it to anyone close enough to try it out!
We're looking forward to a fun weekend with Jeff's high school having homecoming tonight, a tailgate for all the teachers and families, and KidsFest tomorrow, put on by the local PBS station. Maybe I'll have more pictures for next week! 07 September Jeff's New SchoolHere are a few pictures from Jeff's new school. The first four are of his choir room and the last one is his office. The school has beautiful facilities and Jeff is so thankful to God for his job there. Four weeks down and he's still loving it! 04 September Our GirlsJust for fun, I've created an album of pictures of Ella and Lucy together over the past 10 months. I hope to have some pictures of Jeff's new school and our new house soon. By the way!!...I'm on facebook now...if you don't know what that is, please ignore. |
