January 04 Christmas 2007/Happy New Year 2008With SO many pictures this time, I'm going to keep the blog short. Most pictures have captions, so they speak for themselves, anyway. We had a wonderful break - relaxing, most of the time, and just such a nice change of pace and scenery, not to mention the great food and sweets. We strove to make sure Ella understood that the birth of Jesus was really the reason behind all we were doing. I think each year she internalizes it a little more.
Happy New Year! December 27 From the Mouths of BabesAs you can imagine, I have several pictures from Christmas I am anxious to post! However, I am confined to dial-up right now, so I'll stick to the blog and post pictures next week.
I love to read on many of my friends' blogs about all the cute little things their kids say. This week, I thought I would just post a few we have heard recently.
When Ella is feeling full after eating a big meal, she says "I'm all stuffed up!"
On Christmas Sunday morning, a man was doing a monologue as John the Baptist. He was talking about the trees not producing fruit being cut down and thrown into the fire. Ella looked at me and said, "What did he say, Mommy?" I said, "He's just pretending to be someone out of the Bible." She shook her head at me and said, "He said he was going to throw us into the choir!"
After opening gifts with Jeff's family on Christmas Eve, Ella said, "I need a drink! I'm really thirsty because I opened so many gifts!"
Lucy has done her share of talking this week as well. When she gets up in the morning, if Ella is not right there in the room, she starts saying, "Ella? Ella? Ella?" over and over until she finds her. I think it's so sweet. She has also begun putting two words togther! She says, "all done," "no more," "I know," "hi, Mama," "go bye-bye," and other combos. Some of the words she says most often are "puppy," "drink," "no-no," "night-night," and "please."
We shouldn't be surprised that Lucy talks so much. When we first saw her on the ultrasound and the technician told us she was a girl, we saw her little jaw opening and closing. Jeff said, "Great, she's talking already." Isn't he blessed to be living with three females?!
I hope you are enjoying this wonderful holiday season as much as we are! More next week! December 19 Ladies in RedWell, for all we did this past week, I don't have many pictures to show for it! Here are a few highlights:
On Tuesday night, Jeff and I got to have a date night - for free! My parents came to watch the girls as we went to dinner and a concert. Dinner at the Olive Garden was provided thanks to a birthday gift card Jeff received from my brother's family in November. The free concert was the Annie Moses Band at a local church. This was our second time to see them perform live and they are phenomenal!! I highly recommend them to anyone who ever has a chance to see them. They are a family of eight, all incredibly gifted and trained musicians, along with a drummer and bass player from outside the family. They play all sorts of styles from classical to bluegrass to jazz. And many of them switch back and forth between more than one instrument, as well as having beautiful voices. The dad of this family is Bill Wolaver, a well-known piano composer and arranger. Jeff and I have both played several of his pieces before. This concert happened to be an all-Christmas concert, as they have a new Christmas album this year. We had a wonderful time!
Sunday evening was the Adult Choir's Christmas Program at church. Jeff and I have both been dealing with a lingering cough/throat thing, so we weren't at our best as far as singing solos that night, but God helped us through it. It was a very nice evening. None of our family was able to be there that night, hence no pictures to post.
Monday night was Jeff's Christmas concert at school. All three of his choirs performed, and I accompanied on the piano. Jeff did a wonderful job and had prepared the kids well, but the immaturity of some of the students ended up putting a damper on the whole night. We didn't come away with that feeling of accomplishment we normally like to have after a concert. They could have done better. I know Jeff didn't stay disappointed for long, though, when he remembered that there were only a couple days left until break! We managed to get one picture after the concert, but none during.
Ella and Lucy have both been in and out of the Dr.'s office way more than we would have liked over the past six weeks. Each girl has had multiple rounds of antibiotics, ear infections, and eye infections. The Dr. thinks they just keep passing it back and forth. We are praying they will be healthy for Christmas!
And to all of you reading, I wish you a very Merry Christmas! May you celebrate JESUS this Christmas and always! December 12 Karaoke Christmas and Ella...Live on Stage!Ella while riding in the van this week: "Okay, Mommy. You're going to turn right up here, then go a few blogs and turn left." I had to chuckle. Blogs are a normal part of her world! My how things have changed!
This weekend, we were blessed to have the company of two families from our church in our home. We are really enjoying getting to know these special people. On Friday night, we enjoyed a Papa Murphy's pizza meal with Jwain, Kris, Marina, Samuel, Ruthie, and Anneli! I was excited to live in a home where we finally have the space to open our dining room table up big and have a party of 10 fit comfortably around it! After dinner, I got some pics of the kids singing along with a Christmas CD on the karaoke machine. Lucy Claus made an appearance as well. We had hot cocoa, candles burning, homemade dessert, music, and laughter around the Christmas tree...some of the most wonderful things that come to mind when I think of Christmas.
We had more hot cocoa and more dessert on Saturday night after Ella's dress rehearsal/pizza party at church when our friends Jason, Lynne, Hannah, and Emily came over. (Hannah and Emily are pictured in the group of girls at the church.) Jason is the music director at our church. Lynne is a stay-at-home mom, an accomplished pianist, and leads the children's choir. They have two girls. The more we get to know them, the more we find in common with them! Our girls get along great and we hope to find more opportunities to spend time with them in the future.
Sunday night was Ella's first church Christmas program. The pre-school choir (led by our friends, Jwain and Kris, above) sang and did sign language for "Give Thanks," sang and jingled bells to "Jingle Bells," sang the first verse of "Away in a Manger" with the children's choir, and sang "We Wish You a Merry Christmas" with everyone at the very end of the program. Also, each child in Ella's choir carried in a box with a different symbol of Christmas inside. Ella's was the last box and contained a plastic baby Jesus. She opened her box, but wouldn't speak into the microphone. Thankfully, this was her only bit of shyness. We were concerned by how she had acted in practice a few times that she would freeze up and not open her mouth on stage (even though she knows every word and action and sings them loud and clear at home!). She did great, though. She smiled beautifully, sang, did the actions, and behaved like an angel throughout the bigger kids performance. We were so proud of her.
I have agreed to teach the 3rd-5th grade children's choir beginning in January. After teaching K-4 music for four years in Illinois, and assisting with K-5 and 3-5 children's choirs at our church in Louisville for three years, I am looking forward to using my gifts in that way again. Lynne (mentioned above) will continue to teach the K-2 kids and we will work together for Easter/Christmas performances.
Christmas shopping is about 75% done! It's the most wonderful, busiest, stressful, joyful time of the year! December 04 Bradyn, Brooke, and Christmas TreesThe first set of pictures this week is of my nephew, Bradyn, playing basketball. Ella, Lucy, and I got to see him play on Thursday night. Unfortunately, we were pretty late, but what playing we did see was really good! The JV and Varsity both won their games! His dad, my brother Todd, is the coach. Ella thought it was way too loud in the gym, so she spent most of the evening playing games in the cafeteria with my niece, Cassidy. I was happy to get to see Todd and Bradyn in action. Bradyn is in 5th grade and I think he has a lot of potential, especially with his dad coaching him these next few years.
Then the next night, on Friday, Jeff joined us and we got to see my niece, Brooke, in a community production of "Miracle on 34th Street." Brooke played the role of the photographer and sang in the chorus. She did great! We weren't allowed to take pictures during the performance, but I got a few before and after. Jeff and I were impressed with the quality of the whole production, especially for the smaller venue it was in. Everyone was impressed with how Ella behaved SO WELL for the entire 2 1/2 hour performance! We were so proud of her. Thankfully, Lucy was being cared for and asleep at that point. She never would have made it.
I also wanted to include a picture of our enormous Christmas tree! Jeff's uncle moved to a different house and didn't have need for this tree, so he gave it to us. It is 9 feet tall! Our house has a very tall ceiling in the front room, so we had a place for it, but wow, is it big! It took us 3 days to get the thing put together and decorated, but it really is pretty. We still haven't put the garland on yet, but hopefully that will be done soon. Ella has helped decorate several trees this year, including the three shown in the pictures. She is having fun putting up the parts of the nativity on her advent calendar. It's making more sense to her this year. She can see Christmas getting closer as she puts up another piece each day. She is so excited. This Sunday night, she will be performing in her first church Christmas program. The pre-school Children's Choir is singing 3 songs before the bigger kids do their play. She knows the songs well, but whether or not she actually sings them and does the actions when she's up in front of people is yet to be seen.
Enjoy the season! November 27 ThanksgivingWe are so blessed! It is wonderful to remember at this time of year just how blessed we are! We enjoyed a great Thanksgiving this year with my side of the family, including a feast for 32 family members. (though it could have fed many more!) Ella enjoyed playing with some of her second cousins, and Lucy decided to use the time to advance her walking and talking skills. During the time we were there, she began saying her own version of Grandpa, Grandma, and Troy (much to their delight!). She also began cruising around the furniture and walking while pushing a walker. Both of these were firsts for her. It just seems like her development is improving by leaps and bounds lately. On Saturday, Jeff and I left the girls with my parents and drove to Mattoon to visit Jeff's sister, Valerie in the hospital. She was there with an infection and not allowed to have children in the room. We had a nice visit with Valerie and Linda, then went by Jeff's grandma's house and saw her and Bill for a few minutes before driving back to my parents' house. We got good news last night that Valerie was able to come home yesterday and has seen much improvement. We have our Christmas tree decorated now (and even one in Ella's room), but the rest of the house isn't done yet. I hope to have pictures by next week. It's the most wonderful time of the year...and the busiest! Remember the reason for all of the excitement...Jesus was born! November 20 Two 1sts and a 31stToday (11/20) is Jeff's 31st birthday! Happy Birthday, Jeff! We enjoyed celebrating last night with a dinner at Tumbleweed followed by chocolate cake and ice cream (all by Jeff's choice). Tonight we're having his favorite meal at home and going to a choir concert.
I also want to highlight Lucy this week. She is pulling up on everything in sight now, including in her crib. She is beginning to take a few steps to get things nearby when she's standing and will walk long distances (initiating her own steps) while holding adult hands. We are most amazed, though, with her language development! At only 12.5 months, she has about 13 words! I am so excited to share this clip:
Happy Thanksgiving! Remembember to give thanks to the One who has given us every good and perfect gift! November 12 Lucy Pulls Up/Christmas PicturesLucy reached another baby milestone on Tuesday as she pulled up to standing by herself for the first time! She has done it many times since then, which is making us re-evaluate our babyproofing (or lack of!). She's crawling faster and farther distances now and is so happy to be able to go wherever she wants. She continues to communicate more with us through gestures, words, and signs. She did two new signs on her own (understanding the meaning, not just imitating us) on Thursday this week - "please" and "drink." Just in the 10 days since she turned 1, she has seemed to grow so much older! Her personality is really coming through and we are having so much fun getting to know her.
On Friday afternoon, we left for a weekend "back home" in Louisville. We had a blast seeing our friends and church family again. We know so many special people there who love us and it really did feel like coming home. Our friends were so generous to give us meals and a place to stay. The only money we had to spend the whole weekend was for gas and our pictures. We did have one strange moment, though - seeing a stranger pull up to our old house and go inside! Ella seemed to know it was our old house, but was more excited about seeing our neighbors' kids next door. She has missed them and all her friends in Louisville so much. Sunday School was like a glorious reunion for her. She has been gone just long enough that it all seems familiar to her, yet it's not "home" now. All in all, we had a fabulous time.
The main purpose for our trip was to have our pictures taken at Portrait Innovations. I am a faithful, unpaid salesman for them and recommend them highly to anyone! We had a really good photographer and were very pleased with the pictures on the whole. We did family pictures and pictures of both girls together first, so by the time we got to Lucy's pictures by herself (to be her 1-year pictures), she was kind of burnt out on the whole thing, so we don't have many good ones of just her. I've included just a few of the 75 (!) pictures they took. Please forgive the poor resolution on some of them. When I did some editing to them on my computer, then saved them, they didn't stay as clear for some reason.
We are enjoying having Jeff home with us today on his day off. We needed a day to recover from our weekend! November 05 Concert/Friends Visit/Halloween/Lucy is 1/Grandpa is 64You get two weeks for the price of one this time! We've had so much going on during the past two weeks, I didn't have time to post an update last week. (Hence, the mile-long title!)
On Tuesday, 10/23, Jeff directed his first concert at his new school. I accompanied several songs, and Jeff even got to accompany a few while his student interns (from a local university) conducted. It went very well and Jeff got many compliments on the improvement in the choirs from past years. (But would anyone have expected any less?!) I think it was a confidence booster for him and a great way to start the year!
I am thrilled to report that God has led us to the church where we will serve Him here in Evansville. After attending for about two months, asking lots of questions, meeting with the staff, getting to know the people, observing the life of the church, and, of course, much prayer, we joined Oakhill Baptist Church on Sunday, 10/28. This is the church where Ella has already been attending Awana on Wednesday nights. We are so thankful to be part of a church family again and we're anxious to see how God will use us in this new setting.
On Monday and Tuesday, 10/29 & 30, we were so happy to have our friends from Louisville come for a visit. Becky (mom), Isaac (3), Gracie (2), and Owen (3.5 months) stayed overnight with us and we had a wonderful time. (Dave, the daddy, had to work.) I really enjoyed having a friend to spend time with and talk about "mom" stuff with, since I haven't been here long enough to get to know other moms well yet. Ella was just a giddy ball of laughter the whole time. She has really missed her friends from our church in Louisville, so this was especially exciting for her. Isaac, Ella, and Gracie played, ran, and laughed hard the whole time. What a wonderful blessing to have them here! We are looking forward to seeing them again soon as we travel to Louisville this upcoming weekend!
We attended the Fall Festival at our church (it's so nice to say "our" church!) on Wednesday night. Ella was a butterfly and Lucy was a ladybug. Our little bugs looked super-sweet and even made the "Trunk or Treat" picture page on the church website. Unfortunately, Ella was not quite feeling herself that night. We found out on Friday that her cold turned into a double ear infection. She's had antibiotics and is doing much better now. Lucy also got the cold, but as of today, her ears are still fine.
The biggest event of the past two weeks was Lucy's 1st birthday! Though we can hardly believe it has been a year, Lucy turned one on Friday, 11/2. We had her party on Saturday, 11/3, and had 16 family members in our home to celebrate. To everyone's delight, Lucy blew out her candle all by herself and she happily obliged to dig into the yummy cake. When Ella turned one, Jeff and I joked that we had actually kept her alive for a whole year! With Lucy, our goal was to keep her safe from Ella for a whole year! We had her 1-year doctor's appointment today and she measured 30" and weighted 23 lbs. 12 oz.! She is SUCH a sweet, happy baby and we are so thankful for the blessing she has been in our lives.
And finally, we celebrated my dad's 64th birthday with a surprise lunch for him at a restaurant in Carmi, IL on Sunday afternoon. After just seeing everyone at Lucy's party, he never expected to see us all again the very next day! He just thought he was going out to eat. His actual birthday isn't until Tuesday. After lunch, our family went with Mom and Dad to a nearby park and enjoyed the beautiful, autumn surroundings. As the kids walked around and went swinging with Grandpa and Grandma, Jeff turned Lucy's carseat around in the van and she got to enjoy a new experience on the way home. Just another sign that she is growing up!
I think that's finally it! Now I need some sleep!
October 22 Fall Country Fun/Lucy Crawls/Choir RecordsI could add a lot more to that title, but it's getting a bit long! We have had a busy week!
The first pictures of Ella were from "Crazy Hair Day" at Awana last week. I thought Ella's hair was the craziest of all. She was a little concerned at first, asking, "Mommy, are all the other kids gonna have crazy hair?" Once she knew she wouldn't be the only one, she had fun with it.
On Wednesday, my mom treated the girls and I to a day at Fall Country Fun near McLeansboro, IL, along with a friend of hers and her kids. It was a beautiful day and everyone really enjoyed it. Ella doesn't care much for touching animals, though. She comes by it honestly.
Some of the biggest news of the week was that on Thursday night, Lucy started crawling! We were happy that my mom was even here to witness that first time. She is steadily getting faster each day. She is also saying more ("woof-woof" and "bye-bye"), signing more ("all done" and "thank you"), sitting up in her crib, and pulling up to her knees! We are so thankful that her development is progressing now after such a long period of wondering if everything was okay. All praise to God!
On Friday, Jeff took his concert choir (he even drove the bus!) to record two Christmas songs at the local PBS station to be played back between Thanksgiving and Christmas. I accompanied them on one of the songs. They did a really nice job. Their first concert is tomorrow night, along with the beginning and intermediate choirs. I'll have pictures of that next week.
On Saturday evening, we celebrated Todd and Lisa's 37th birthdays at my parents' house. Ella and Lucy always enjoy playing with their cousins, and it was nice for us to all get to see their great-grandmother as well.
And last, but not least, God answered our prayers for opportunities to begin making friends by allowing us to spend Friday evening and Sunday afternoon with two couples from the church we have been attending. We had such a wonderful time being "grown-ups" (both meals were without kids!) and getting to have adult company and conversation. God even provided both meals at no cost to us! Can't beat that! We are looking forward to getting to know both of these families more in the future. What a wonderful week! October 15 Two Little Monkeys...This is my first attempt to put a video on my blog. Jeff and I couldn't stop laughing as Lucy continually bothered Ella as she tried to "read" to her. It is a bit long for a web video, but we think it's worth it! (It may help the video play more clearly if you pause the pictures on the right.) Ella reading to Lucy October 09 An addition......make that THREE more family members have gotten it now.
(as of 10/11 - it's up to FOUR!) Grandpa is 60!The highlight of the weekend...a surprise birthday party for Jeff's dad! As you're about to read, however, there was much more to this weekend than that!
Thursday morning, when I went to get Lucy out of her crib, she had thrown up! Yuck! Thankfully, it only happened that once, and she seemed fine the rest of the day. So, Thursday night, our family of four headed to the city's Fall Festival as we had planned. According to the locals, it's the second biggest street festival in the nation, after Mardi Gras! (Needless to say, a bit different than Dairy Days, which you read about last week!) We had a fun time, but I didn't take any pictures.
When we came home, Jeff and Ella had their much anticipated "sleepover" in the living room. Ella was SO giddy about the whole thing. We've never seen her clean up her toys and get ready for bed so fast as she did that night. They started their evening by stuffing the big trash bag jack-o-lantern, then got under the covers on the air mattress and told "smooky" stories in the dark. They could only see each other with the light of Ella's lantern and the light-up necklace she got at the fall festival. They had a memorable evening, and much to Mommy's surprise, actually stayed out there the whole night!
Jeff didn't have school on Friday, so we were able to leave early for a weekend at his parents' house in Mattoon, IL. We had a nice day Friday and Jeff and I even got an hour out on our own after the kids went to bed. The next morning, however, I woke up and soon realized I was sick...VERY sick. I guess I got it from Lucy. Before long, everyone in their house had left and gone to Grandma's and I spent most of Saturday between the couch and the bathroom. Jeff started feeling sick in the afternoon and joined me. It was pretty miserable, but we were both so thankful to have child care that day! Ella got to enjoy some time at a local pumpkin patch and was kept away from our germs.
Sunday was a surprise 60th birthday party for Jeff's dad, the main reason we came. Jeff and I made it there eventually, but we weren't worth much. Jeff called in for a sub for Monday and we spent the rest of Sunday getting our strength back so we could make the drive. As of today, Tuesday, we're both feeling pretty good. Unfortunately, two more family members have come down with it since then. Ella is still going strong and we're praying she doesn't get it. We're glad to be back home! October 02 Dairy Days/Ella & Lucy picsJust a few things to post pictures of over the past 2 weeks. During the 3rd weekend of September, our family went to my hometown of Norris City, IL for their annual fall festival - Dairy Days. Ella had fun getting candy at the parade and riding rides. I enjoyed seeing people whom I had not seen for years and watching Ella enjoy it all like I did at her age.
The pictures of the girls in the bed...after I did the laundry yesterday, Daddy and Ella decided to surprise me by making up the bed with the clean sheets and then having Ella hide in the pillows to jump out at me. We put Lucy in the pillows with her and they had a big time.
The pictures of Lucy in the pink dress...Each month on her month birthday, I take a picture of Lucy (in the same dress as long as she fits, then a new one) and put it in a special frame on the wall. The final picture will be her 1-year picture in the center, but this is the last of the monthly pictures. I can't believe how fast the year has flown by! I had a more difficult time getting a good picture this month because Lucy would cry unless she was holding "baby." (And I didn't want "baby" in the picture!) She's become pretty attached to this doll lately. In fact, "baby" was her first word, followed by DaDa, MaMa, and Bye-Bye. Only a month and I'll be posting birthday pictures!
September 24 House PicturesAs promised, I took some pictures of our house this weekend. Now that it's finished, we're ready for visitors! We would love to have friends and family come see us! Give us a call! September 17 Homecoming/KidsFestWe had a fun weekend! Friday night was the homecoming game at Jeff's school. We went to a fun tailgate party for the teachers and families and stayed til the end of the halftime show. We had a fun time and really enjoyed the obvious love and pride the community has for their school, as well as the fanfare and excitement of the crowd, cheerleaders, and marching band. Ella liked all the balloons, the cheering, and the band, but she was a little leary of the mascot. Unfortunately, I forgot to bring my camera. The highlight was that Lucy and I were on the 10:00 news sitting in the stands during the game. The camera was close-up on just the 2 of us, saying that "This little girl doesn't seem to mind" that the team was losing horribly. We just happened to see it by chance. What a fun surprise!
Then on Saturday we went to the KidsFest, sponspored by the local PBS station. It was a really fun day and the weather was absolutely perfect. I think the pictures give you a pretty good idea of what the day was like. Some other activities not pictured were an inflatable, a dance studio performance, a gymnastics performance, Clifford, Maya and Miguel, SuperWhy, and a picnic lunch.
Our house is pretty much in order now, so I'm hoping to take some pictures to post soon. Keep checking in! September 14 Lucy Stands - Ella Gets a Patch! Two weeks ago, Lucy finally began standing on her own! (still holding on to something) It may not seem like much for most 10-month-olds, but this is a big accomplishment for Lucy. Since then, her legs have continued to get stronger and she's wanting to stand more and more. We've also noticed her becoming more verbal and putting some meaning into what she babbles.
A new Awana club was just introduced for babies-2 years, making Lucy now a "Puggle." (fyi...A "puggle" is a baby platypus.) They have little songs, make simple crafts, and have learning cards which they use for lessons. Ella continues to learn and have fun being a Cubbie. She received her first patch this week, the "Jumper Patch." She was so proud of it. Awana is really a great thing for her and we have been excited to see her enthusiasm for learning Bible verses.
The last picture is of Ella at a ittle cafe we went to. It is the neatest place, all based on the artwork of Dakri Sinclair. It has a gift shop and a tea room where they throw tea parties and birthday parties for little girls. Just so sweet. I highly recommend it to anyone close enough to try it out!
We're looking forward to a fun weekend with Jeff's high school having homecoming tonight, a tailgate for all the teachers and families, and KidsFest tomorrow, put on by the local PBS station. Maybe I'll have more pictures for next week! September 07 Jeff's New SchoolHere are a few pictures from Jeff's new school. The first four are of his choir room and the last one is his office. The school has beautiful facilities and Jeff is so thankful to God for his job there. Four weeks down and he's still loving it! September 04 Our GirlsJust for fun, I've created an album of pictures of Ella and Lucy together over the past 10 months. I hope to have some pictures of Jeff's new school and our new house soon. By the way!!...I'm on facebook now...if you don't know what that is, please ignore. August 29 Settling InIt's been just over a month since we moved to our new home! It's hard to believe how time flies. We continue to give God all the praise for finally releasing Jeff from his former job and allowing us to move closer to family. We've been very busy unpacking and getting to know the area, though it's been WAY too hot do much of anything outside. We are basically moved in now with our final project being putting pictures on the walls. Jeff has been teaching at his new school for nearly 3 weeks now and is really enjoying it. It is so wonderful to see him satisfied in his work and not dreading each time he has to go. The girls and I have gotten into a routine now, though it is unfortunately running about an hour earlier than Mommy would like. No matter how we try, Ella and Lucy don't seem to want to make the switch to Central time. We have attended several churches in the area and are basically trying to decide now between two. They are both possibilities for entirely different reasons. We would appreciate prayer for this huge decision. Ella started attending AWANA at one of the churches and is so excited about her vest, workbook, and verses. She has already memorized four verses! It's exciting for Jeff and me to see her anxious to "say my verses" like Mommy and Daddy do each day. We are looking forward to see how God is going to begin working in her life as she grows older. Three years old is a milestone year in understanding and learning about God. Lucy will be 10 months on Sunday and is a happy, adorable, smiling bundle of joy. She loves to imitate sounds, clap, and laugh at her big sister. She is doing great with table foods and her sippy cup and knows how to sign "more." Her gross motor skills are progressing, but she is still behind average. Some recent developments are that she will stay on all fours and rock back and forth if you put her up there, she will jump around in her Johnny-Jump-Up, she can turn around in circles while sitting or on her belly, and will stand momentarily with support if there's something up high she is interested in. We continue to work with her each day and doctors assure us she is fine and will master these skills at her own pace. It's hard for us to truly grasp that concept knowing that Ella was walking by now. They are truly two VERY different individuals! Well, I hope you enjoyed the first of what I hope to be somewhat regular updates on our family. Please leave comments or send and e-mail. We want to keep in touch! |
